The Bayside Academy varsity baseball program practices and competes at the Bayside Academy Sports Complex on Highway 64. The varsity team competes at the 4A level in the AHSAA. Bayside has won multiple Area championships and finished deep in the playoffs, including as State Runner-Up in 2021.
About the Coach
Coach Matt Limbaugh has been coaching at Bayside Academy for five years (three as the head coach). Since he took over the program in 2021, there have been 12 athletes sign to play baseball at the collegiate level. Prior to coming to Bayside, Coach Limbaugh spent eight seasons as the varsity baseball head coach at Scott County Central High School in Missouri. Throughout his tenure at Scott County Central, Coach Limbaugh broke the school record for wins in a season and left as the program's all-time winningest coach. He also had the privilege of helping multiple student-athletes receive athletic scholarships to play at the collegiate level. Coach Limbaugh attended Crichton College in Memphis, Tennessee, on a baseball scholarship. He received his degree in physical education and currently serves as the head of the PE department at Bayside.
